Moonlight
Such films as VanHelsing, 30 Days of Night and Underworld influenced me to produce this pendrawing of a mysterious creature in the moonlight, I wanted to try and make thecreature look a bit like a vampire but also to look mysterious by not showingthe face of the figure.
I added charcoal onto this pen drawing because I think it gives the drawingmore effect and it is quit easy to produce shade and tone, I did not usecharcoal to add shade or tone to the figure but instead used cross hatching as Ipersonally think it looks more effective and more comic styled
CARRIED ON PHOTOGRAPH - bridge
I took a digitalphotograph of this bridge across a river in Central park and decided to carryon the photograph in pen to see what effect it would give, after doing this Iwanted to give it a bit of colour to make the drawing look more like the photograph, therefore I used chalk pastel and charcoal to get the pen drawing to look morerealistic and effective.
HEAVEN and HELL
I asked a few people their views on what Heavenand Hell actually is and then combined all of their views and producedthis final piece. I used pen outline and used coloured pencils andpaint to fill in the drawing.
CARRIEDON PHOTOGRAPH - riverside footpath
I took this digital photograph and decided to do the same as I did with theother carried on drawing of the bridge but decided to add more materials. Thistime I used pen for outlines and then used Graphite, Coloured pencils, Chalkpastels, charcoal and to finish of a bit more detail I used a fine liner pen.
